This morning’s network gathering had was a bit loose on the direction part (we didn’t set an agenda after last month’s resource meeting), but high on the relational part. So good!
I’m so thankful to be a part of a network with so many other great people doing so many great things for students in the region. If you missed it, we spent the first hour fellowshiping and in prayer (always good). From there we went on to discuss a couple of upcoming community events…
First, “Bald Bob” — now pastoring students at 1st Presbyterian Church — wanted to let us know about the annual Red Ribbon event coming up on Wednesday night, October 15th. It will feature Angel Dean and band and student testimonies reinforcing an anti-drug and alcohol message to your students. More details and the event poster to come soon.
Second, Todd, the new pastor to students at Fountain Springs, wanted to invite area students to a live concert with Remedy Drive. Details and the event poster are available for download here (click on the graphic below)…
We discussed the topic of student worship teams today and shared how we organize our “worship times” in our specific student ministries. We also set topical directions for the next few months…
- November – small group ministry (facilitated discussion led by Shawn)
- December – outreach and projects (facilitated discussion led by Erin and Bob)
- January - student leadership teams
